The Fox at Loxley story

In April 2019 The Fox at Loxley came on the market and a dedicated  group of volunteers set about buying the pub and turning it into a Community Pub for Loxley and the surrounding villages.

We were overwhelmed with the interest in creating a Community Pub and our share launch resulted in us raising over £270,000 from 223 investors from across the UK and overseas, this combined with a small loan and grant support from the Plunkett Foundation was enough to be able to buy the Fox at Loxley. The purchase was completed on the 1st September 2020 and  a dedicated team of volunteers refurbished the pub and we opened as a Community Pub that is more than a Pub in May 2021.

We look forward to welcoming you to a traditional village pub selling quality beers, lagers, ciders and wine and serving traditional home cooked pub food at reasonable prices.

The future plans include opening for morning coffee and afternoon tea as well as over time making use of the Fox meadow, behind the Fox for events that support our ethos of being more than a Pub.
